Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the TBR Triage team ("we") handle information in the TBR Triage app and on this website. TBR Triage is a reading tracker. It is not a medical product. Do not enter real patient records or other sensitive information in notes. TBR Triage is offered to people in the United States only.
People who help maintain the app may see information needed for support, billing, or debugging. Questions: [email protected].
On your device
Your library stays on your phone: titles, authors, progress, ratings, notes, genres, shifts, settings, and reading history.
We send the library off your device only if you back it up to Google Drive. Your phone's own Google backup may also include it if you have device backup turned on; Google manages that, not us.
Google account and backup
You can use the free app without signing in. You must sign in with Google to buy Pro, restore a purchase, or use Drive backup.
If you sign in with Google:
- Google shares your name, email, profile photo, and account ID with the app. The app keeps only your email and account ID, on the device, so it knows who is signed in.
- If you use Drive backup, the app stores a copy of your library (including notes and reading history) in a hidden app folder in your Google Drive. The app can only see that folder, not your other Drive files. We never have access to your backup; only the app on your phone can read it. It is used only to back up and restore.
- We also use your Google email and account ID to identify your purchase and to find it when you contact support.
TBR Triage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Turning off Drive backup or signing out stops new backups but does not delete an existing one. You can delete it in Google Drive's settings under Manage apps.
Google handles the account and Drive storage under Google's privacy policy.
Purchases
Google Play handles payment. We never see your card details.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. It receives a device identifier, basic device and app details, and your IP address. If you sign in, it also receives your Google email, an ID tied to your Google account, and your purchase history. We use this to show plans, unlock Pro, and help you with purchases. Signing out does not delete your billing record.
Crash reports
We use Sentry for crash reports. A report includes a device identifier, device and app details, and what happened in the app before the error. We set up reports to leave out your Google account, your library, and your IP address. We use them only to fix bugs.
We do not run ads. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
This website
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. The site and app may load fonts from Google. Those companies may see your IP address and browser or device type to serve the page or fonts.
The waitlist is a Google Form. If you join, Google processes your answers and we receive them so we can email you about the launch. Do not put sensitive information in the form.
We do not set our own advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare or Google may set cookies their services need. We do not track you across other sites or apps, so we do not change anything in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Children
TBR Triage is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 gave us information, email [email protected] and we will delete what we can.
How long we keep it
- Library on the phone: until you delete it or uninstall.
- Drive backup: until you delete it from your Google Drive.
- RevenueCat record: while you have Pro or a past purchase, so you can restore it, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Waitlist answers: until launch emails are done, and no more than 12 months after launch.
- Support email: up to 2 years after your last message.
- Store receipts: kept by the store under its policy.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. We delete what we hold within 30 days and reply to confirm. We cannot delete store receipts.
- Delete your Drive backup in Google Drive, as described above.
- Uninstall the app to remove the library on your phone.
Security
Data sent to Google, RevenueCat, and Sentry is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed.
Legal requests
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe in good faith that we must do so to protect users or our rights.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If we start collecting a new kind of data, we will update this page before we do.

Google, RevenueCat, Sentry, and Cloudflare have their own policies:
